2022 Maine gubernatorial election

The 2022 Maine gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022, to elect the governor of Maine. Incumbent Democratic Governor Janet Mills is seeking a second term with no primary opposition. The only Republican to file to run for the GOP nomination is former governor Paul LePage, and, with the two being the only ones from their respective parties to submit ballot petitions by the March 15th deadline, they will face each other in the November general election.[1]
