The 2022 Denton mayoral election will be held on May 7, 2022 to elect the mayor of Denton, Texas. The election will be nonpartisan, so both candidates will appear as independent on the ballot. Denton mayors have two year terms.

Incumbent mayor Gerard Hudspeth[1] is running for reelection for his second term, and will face current mayor Pro Tem and at-large city council member Paul Meltzer in the May election.[2][3]
