Denys Demyanenko

Denys Anatoliyovych Demyanenko (Ukrainian: Денис Анатолійович Дем'яненко; born 5 July 2000) is a professional Ukrainian football striker who plays for Desna Chernihiv.[1]

Career

Born in Kyiv, Demyanenko is a product of the local Atlet youth sportive school system.[2]

In September 2018, he signed a deal with the Premier League club Desna Chernihiv, the main team in the city of Chernihiv. Here he played for Desna-2 Chernihiv, where he played 35 matches and scored 7 goals.[3]

He also made his debut with the senior team in Ukrainian Premier League on 26 February 2021, playing as the second half-time substituted player in a home winning match against FC Inhulets Petrove.[4][5] On 18 July 2021 he played in a friendly match against Veres Rivne at the Stadium Yuvileinyi in Bucha ended ended 2-0 for Desna.[6] On 22 August 2021 he was in the bench, included in the team against Dynamo Kyiv in Ukrainian Premier League at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium.[7] On 15 November 2021 he played against Olimpik Donetsk in the friendly match at the Bannikov Stadium in Kyiv, replacing Vladlen Yurchenko at the 70 minutes.[8][9][10] On 5 February 2022 he played as captain in the friendly derby match against FC Chernihiv at the Yunist Stadium in Chernihiv.[11] On 11 February 2022 he was included in the team for the preparation in Turkey for the second half of the season and he played against Velež Mostar in the friendly match replacing Maksym Dehtyarov at the 52 minute.[12][13][14] On 17 February he played against Torpedo Kutaisi in a friendly match, replacing Denys Bezborodko at the 64 minute.[15][16] On 20 February 2022 he played in the friendly match against Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih at the Asteria Football Center in Antalya.[17][18]

Personal life

Denys is a son of a Ukrainian football coach and former football defender Anatoliy Demyanenko.[2]
