Eclipse prayer
The Eclipse prayer (Arabic: صلاة الكسوف; ṣalāt al-kusūf, "eclipse prayer") is a supererogatory Muslim prayer consisting of two rak'as offered when a solar or a lunar eclipse happens. It is Sunnah to pray it in a congregation. It is also recommended that the Imam addresses the people, perform a khutbah and remind the congregation to remember and return to Allah. The prayer time begins when the eclipse is observed and ends with the end of the eclipse.
