Dimapur Airport
Dimapur Airport (IATA: DMU, ICAO: VEMR) is located between the Districts of Chümoukedima and Dimapur in the Indian state of Nagaland. It is the only civil airport in the Northeast Indian state of Nagaland. Its terminal building can handle 500 departing and 300 arriving passengers. The Airport is located at 3rd Mile (NH-29 formerly known as NH-39) in the Diphupar neighbourhood of Chümoukedima District and was built during the Second World War. There are plans for expansion of the airport to meet international norms by buying land at Aoyimti village.

Accidents and incidents
- On 16 August 1991, Indian Airlines Flight 257 operating on the Calcutta–Imphal–Dimapur route crashed on approach to Imphal Airport, killing all 69 people on board. Of the 63 passengers on board, 31 were booked for Dimapur Airport.[2]
