1946 South Carolina Gamecocks football team
The 1946 South Carolina Gamecocks football team was an American football team that represented the University of South Carolina as a member of the Southern Conference during the 1946 college football season. In their sixth season under head coach Rex Enright, South Carolina compiled a 5–3 record and were outscored by a total of 133 to 107.[1] The team ranked fourth nationally in rushing defense, allowing an average of only 79.6 rushing yards per game.[2]
