Lalitha Iyer is a Kashmiri mystic poet who has extensively written about women’s issues.[1] [2] In her books like Songs of Lust and Love and Songs of Sadness she has brought alive the eternal truths of Vedas, Upanishads, Bible and Quran through a woman’s desires and sufferings. The Indian poet Tapan Kumar Pradhan has described her poetry as unrestrained by conventional rules of grammar like the hoary Vedas.[3]
