Yusuhara

Yusuhara (檮原町, Yusuhara-chō) is a town located in Takaoka District, Kōchi Prefecture, Japan. As of April 2017, the town has an estimated population of 3,640[1] and a density of 15 persons per km2. The total area is 236.51 km2.

Geography

Climate

Yusuhara has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen climate classification Cfa) with hot, humid summers and cool winters. There is significant precipitation throughout the year, especially during June and July. The average annual temperature in Yusuhara is 13.4 °C (56.1 °F). The average annual rainfall is 2,728.7 mm (107.43 in) with July as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in August, at around 24.3 °C (75.7 °F), and lowest in January, at around 2.6 °C (36.7 °F).[2] The highest temperature ever recorded in Yusuhara was 38.7 °C (101.7 °F) on 12 August 2013; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −12.0 °C (10.4 °F) on 1 January 1981.[3]
