Yokohama Zoo

Yokohama Zoo (よこはま動物園ズーラシア, Yokohama zoorasia) is a zoo opened in April 1999 and located in Yokohama Doubutsuno-mori Park, in Asahi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It covers 53.3 hectares (132 acres) and houses about 747 animals of 100 different species. It is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and is closed on Tuesdays.

The zoo is operated by the Yokohama Zoological Garden, and is a member of the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums (JAZA).
