Volodymyr Saldo Bloc

Volodymyr Saldo Bloc (Ukrainian: Блок Володимира Сальдо, Russian: Блок Владимира Сальдо, abbr. БВС or BVS) is a minor regionalist political party in the Kherson Oblast in Ukraine headed by the de facto governor of Kherson Oblast Volodymyr Saldo. The current chairman of the party is Iryna Khrunyk.[1] The party was founded in 2019[1][2][3] and won 5 seats in the Kherson Oblast Council in the 2020 local elections,[4] while Saldo finished second in the mayoral election[5]

On 20 March 2022, the party's activities were suspended by the National Security and Defense Council for the period of martial law due to allegations of having ties to Russia made by the Council.[6][7] Following their opposition to Saldo's activities in the occupied Kherson, deputies of the Saldo Bloc announced that they will be serving in the "Support to the programs of the President of Ukraine" faction.[8]
