Geography

Veeri is located at an elevation of 5,300 feet (1,600 m) above the sea level, roughly one and half kilometres from the famous Jhelum River and at a distance of 52 kilometres (32 mi) from Srinagar.

At the 2011 census, the total population of Veeri was 2164, of whom 1065 were males and 1099 females.
