UEFA Euro 2020 Group F
Group F of UEFA Euro 2020 took place from 15 to 23 June 2021 in Budapest's Puskás Aréna and Munich's Allianz Arena.[1] The group contained host nation Hungary, defending champions Portugal, world champions France and host nation Germany. Seen as the weakest in the group before the tournament began, Hungary stunned the global football community by showing an unexpected and memorable performance of intensity and aggressiveness against the giants, even though they finished last in the end.[2]
Although the tournament format allows for three teams to possibly advance to the knockout phase, the group was referred to as a "group of death" for containing Portugal (UEFA Euro 2016 and 2018–19 UEFA Nations League winners), France (UEFA Euro 2016 runners-up and 2018 FIFA World Cup winners) and Germany (2014 FIFA World Cup and 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup winners).[3][4]

Discipline
Fair play points were to be used as a tiebreaker if the head-to-head and overall records of teams were tied (and if a penalty shoot-out was not applicable as a tiebreaker). These were calculated based on yellow and red cards received in all group matches as follows:[5]
- yellow card = 1 point
- red card as a result of two yellow cards = 3 points
- direct red card = 3 points
- yellow card followed by direct red card = 4 points
Only one of the above deductions was applied to a player in a single match.
