Ted Sablay

Theodore Sablay (born April 18, 1976) is an American guitar player, keyboardist and music teacher. He has been a touring musician for The Killers[1] since 2006. Sablay has played piano on "Romeo and Juliet" on the band's compilation album Sawdust, engineered sessions for the Killers' 2008 album Day & Age, and worked as a music consultant on Flamingo, the 2010 solo album by Killers singer Brandon Flowers.

Sablay was formerly in the Las Vegas bands Fault, Attaboy Skip and Expert on October alongside Ronnie Vannucci Jr.[2] Sablay has contributed bass to Vannucci's side project Big Talk[3] and Flowers' second solo album, The Desired Effect. In 2017, Sablay was picked to fill in for Dave Keuning on lead guitar during live dates supporting the Killers' album, Wonderful Wonderful.[4] In March 2021, Sablay released his debut solo single, "Just Out of Reach."[5] Sablay's second single, "Fall Out of Love," was released on May 28, 2021."[6] In June 2021, Sablay appeared as lead guitar player on "Dustland," the Killers collaboration with Bruce Springsteen.[7]

On February 22, 2022, Sablay released his first solo album, You'll Be Back Here Soon.[8] As of April 2022, the title track “You’ll Be Back Here Soon” had amassed over 111K Spotify streams, while the project had eclipsed 300,000 total streams.[9] Las Vegas Weekly said, “It’s an impressive debut that warrants immediate, repeated plays.” [10] FV Music Blog proclaimed Sablay as "an outstanding talent and his latest album, You’ll Be Back Here Soon, is a classic album in the making.” [11] Meanwhile, A&R Factory called album track “Admit It Now” “a well-made track from a true great.”.[12]
