Qâa er Rîm
Qâa er Rîm (Arabic: قاع الريم) (also known as Qā‘ar Rīm) is a village in the Beqaa Governorate of Lebanon.[1] in the Zahle District of Lebanon. It's name is derived from syriac which translates into valley of the deers, Qaa being valley and rim being deers, indicating of the abundance of deers in the region up until they went extinct there. It is located on the eastern footsteps of Mount Sannine, above the city of Zahle.

Founding of the village Qaa er rim was first inhabited during the roman times. It was a popular deer hunting destination. Many archaeological artifacts have been found there including a number of pots containing roman gold. The village was abandoned for a short period of time until it was reinhabited by christians fleeing persecution. The most prominent families in the village are Tannoury ,Saliba, Alam, Mezeraany, Akiki, Kfoury, Abillama, Murr, Riachy, Hobeika, Sawaya, Mgaess.
Economical Activities The village is popular for it's industrial and agricultural sectors. There exists many factories in the village the most popular ones being Mimosa Sanitary paper co, Berdawny Natural Mineral Water, and Rim Mineral Water. There are also many other factories that produce carton, chocolat and dairy products. The agricultural sector is also booming in the village with the most prominent produces being cherries, apples and grapes.
