The McPlant was tested in the United Kingdom in October 2021, with expansion to California and Texas on February 14, 2022.[6][7][8]

Product description

The McPlant uses a plant-based meat alternative burger patty made from plant ingredients such as potatoes, peas and rice[9] provided by Beyond Meat, iceberg lettuce, tomato slice, tomato ketchup, vegan sandwich sauce and a vegan cheese alternative cooked on a separate surface in the United Kingdom.[10] In the United States, American cheese and mayonnaise are used instead, as well as cooking the burger on the same grill as all other burger patties, making the McPlant not vegan in the United States.[11]
