Maikoti

Maikoti is a village situated 18 kilometres (11 mi) from its district headquarters of Rudraprayag, in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India. Haryali devi temple is a notable religious site located in maikoti village. Along with the religious places it its well known for its natural beauty. Natural resources and traditional lifestyle is the beauty of this village. Maikoti has higher literacy rate compared to the uttrakhand . As per government official in 2011 the literacy rate of Maikoti village was 84.19%. As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act, Maikoti village is administrated by Sarpanch (Head of Village) who is elected representative of village.
