International Jump Rope Union

The International Jump Rope Union, also known as IJRU, is the highest authority and world governing body for the sport of jump roping and rope skipping.[1][2]

Background

The International Jump Rope Union was created by a merger of the International Rope Skipping Federation (FISAC- IRSF) and World Jump Rope Federation (WJRF).[3] On July 12, 2021, It became the 10th International Federation to gain Observer status from Global Association of International Sports Federations.[4]

In March 2021, the International Jump Rope Union and the Olympic Channel announced a collaboration agreement to broadcast and promote a series of jump rope events.[5]

Responsibility

In its goal to develop the sport of jump rope and rope skipping globally, the International Jump Rope Union rope and accredits other regional jump rope unions across the world and organizes/regulate skipping events.[2][6][7][8]
