The Ascension Island Football League (Officially registered as Ascension Island Championship)[2] is the top division of football on Ascension.[3]

History

It has been organized by the Ascension Island Football Association[4] since at least 1950.[5] All games are played on the Georgetown Stadium,[6] also known as Long Beach football field, with a sand pitch and an audience capacity of 1,000 people.[7][8][9] The stadium is owned by the league.[10][6]
