She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of 205, achieved on 9 November 2020, and a career-high WTA doubles ranking of 237, set on 10 February 2020. To date, she has won four singles titles and ten doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.

Talabă made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2020 Top Seed Open, receiving a wildcard into the doubles event, partnering Caitlin Whoriskey.[2]

In September 2020, she entered the qualifying round at the French Open, her first Grand Slam tournament ever played. However, she lost in the first round, against Clara Tauson from Denmark.
