Foxy Brown discography

The discography of Foxy Brown contains three studio albums, one collaborative album, one mixtape, and 16 singles. Foxy Brown has sold over 25 million records with just 16 singles and 16 million with 4 albums. She was one of the most successful and highest selling female rappers in the 90's often being referred to as "The Golden Child of Hip-Hop" or "The Female King of Rap" because of her high demand. She made her solo debut as a feature on I Shot Ya in 1995. Later that year she would feature on more songs, remixes, and do more freestyles building her name. Her debut album Ill Na Na released November 19, 1996 broke down barriers for women in rap becoming the first female rap album to chart in the Top 10 of Billboard 200, certified Platinum within 2.7 months of its release, and leading her to become the first female rapper to have certified plaques outside of the U.S. The singles received a lot of success around the world with I'll Be being certified Gold within the U.S. Ill Na Na was a mainstream success competing with all the top albums at the time, becoming the most successful female rap album of 1996 leading the charts in the U.S, Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland , Germany, France, and Dutch. She continued her success with The Firm: The Album in 1997 a collaborative album uniting Nas, Az, and Foxy Brown. It became her first #1 album on Billboard 200 and was certified Gold in Canada carrying on her international success. In 1998 she released her first single to her 2nd solo studio album Chyna Doll with Hot Spot. The single became a hit around the globe. In January of 1999 she released Chyna Doll which became the first solo female rap album to debut at #1 on Billboard 200 landing a spot in the Guinness World Records of 1999.[1] Certified Platinum within 1.8 moths by RIAA and her highest charting album around the world. After a year long Hiatus in 2000, She came back with her lead single "Oh Yeah" May 4, 2001. In July she released her long awaited third solo studio album Broken Silence becoming another mainstream success. The album was certified Gold within 34 days and selling over 1,920,000 worldwide. 2 years later 'Na Na Be Like' despite being a non single from Broken Silence became a Grammy nominated song for Best Female Rap Solo Performance. Her albums Ill Na Na 2: The Fever set to release in 2003 and Black Roses set to release in 2005 were shelved. In 2007 she was sentenced to prison in Rikers Island. During this time her mixtape Brooklyn's Don Diva was released, becoming the first and only female rap mixtape to debut on Billboard 200 for 11 years. She had success with all her singles including the ones that didn't chart as much; most landed spots in movie soundtracks.
