Football in Zimbabwe

The sport of football in the country of Zimbabwe is run by the Zimbabwe Football Association.[1] The association administers the national football team, as well as the Premier League.[2]

History

Football was first introduced to Zimbabwe in 1890. [3][4]

Domestic League

The domestic league is besieged with poor quality play and corruption.[5][6]


National team

The Zimbabwe national team has never got past the first round of the African Cup of Nations or the FIFA World Cup.[7]
