David Ghazaryan

David Ghazaryan (Armenian: Դավիթ Ղազարյան; 5 May 1989 – September–October 2020) was an Armenian Lieutenant-Colonel, participant of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh war. In 2020 he was posthumously awarded the Hero of Artsakh military award.

Awards and honours

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, David Ghazaryan has been posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Artsakh.[1]

For exceptional services rendered to the Artsakh Republic while defending and ensuring the security of the Motherland, as well as for bravery and personal courage, I have awarded Defense Army servicemen David Ghazaryan (posthumously)... with the highest title of the "Hero of Artsakh", awarding them with the "Golden Eagle" order.

According to the President of the Artsakh Republic, Ghazaryan fought on the principle “not a step back” and performed a heroic deed.[2]

Personal life

He was married and had two children.[3]
