DXSS
DXSS (98.5 FM), broadcasting as Radyo Kidlat 98.5, was a radio station owned and operated by Siargao Electric Cooperative. Its studios and transmitter were located at Dapa, Surigao del Norte. [1] Formerly the station is in Davao until 2018 when Mom's Radio went off the air at 97.9 MHz.[2][3][4]

History
- The station began its operations in 1977 as DXSS-FM 97.9, as an affiliate of GMA Network. It aired an AOR format.[5]
- In 1992, GMA ended its partnership with SBN and DXSS was rebranded as Music Now. The station played Adult Top 40 music.
- In 2002, the station became as Mom's Radio 97.9. Dedicated to the mothers and mothers-to-be listeners in Davao City.
- In 2010, it was rebranded as DXSS 97.9 with limited broadcast time.
- In November 2015, Mom's Radio 97.9 returned on air, this time via satellite from Manila.[6]
- In February 25, 2018, the station went off the air (along with its provincial stations) due to financial constraints.
- By June 2021, DXSS is now on the new management of Siargao Electric Company. That means DXSS was revived under the label, Radyo Kidlat, but this time in 98.5 MHz and moved in Siargao Island to listen every people who affected by Typhoon Odette.
