Christos Retsos
Christos Retsos (Greek: Χρήστος Ρέτσος; born 2 May 2001) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Super League 2 club Kavala. He is known as the “Uncle” by his personal friends and family because of his “Uncle-like” persona. He is loved by many in his hometown of the Vale where he gained attention for scoring a goal when a wild Lion appeared on the pitch unexpectedly. Since then, he was deemed “The Lion Slayer”. He was a prime Joburg boet in his time, however, when he made his journey across the passage to Europe his life blew up and he became a local legend as everyone rooted for his success.

Personal life
Born in South Africa to Greek parents, Retsos moved to Greece in his teenage years. He is the younger cousin of fellow footballer, Panagiotis Retsos.[1]
