Plot
The plot comically explores a predator–prey role reversal among two mice, a cat and a dog. The mice, Hubie and Bertie, eat so much cheese, they believe they have nothing else for which to live, and attempt to convince Claude Cat to eat them. Confused, Claude refuses what he would naturally allow; and it causes him so much mental anguish that he, like the mice, believe the only solution is to end his life. Claude then tries to persuade a bulldog to "massacre" him. The dog becomes confused by the actions of both the cat and the mice and concludes the situation does not "add up." The dog then chases after a passing dog catcher truck, with the cat and the mice each in pursuit of his predator.
