Back to 15 (Portuguese: De volta aos 15) is a Brazilian teen drama television series that premiered on February 25, 2022 on Netflix.[1] Based on the 2013 novel of the same name by writer Bruna Vieira, the series follows Anita, a thirty-year-old woman who ends up going back to when she was fifteen. The young woman ends up trying to fix the lives of everyone around her, but each change in the past impacts everyone's future and not always for the better.

Plot
Back to 15 follows Anita (Camila Queiroz), a 30-year-old woman living in São Paulo who is far from the successful woman she dreamt to be. Anita comes back to her old town for her sister's wedding and after a little misunderstanding, she finds herself back in her childhood bedroom. After a visit to her old fotolog page, she comes back to her 15-year-old self (Maisa Silva) on the very first day of high school. With her 30-yer-old mind, Anita gives a different turn to several situations that happened when she was younger, only to notice that every change also impacts everyone else's future. The young woman ends up using this newly discovered skill to fix the lives of everyone around her: Carol (Klara Castanho / Yana Sardenberg), her cousin who is involved with the biggest trash boy in town; Luiza (Amanda Azevedo / Mariana Rios), her sister who lives trapped in the role of little princess of the town; César (Pedro Vinícius / Alice Marcone), his new friend who needs courage to be who he is; and Henrique (Caio Cabral / Breno Ferreira), her nerdy best friend who is secretly in love with her. But Anita also discovery that every change may come with a very high price for everyone involved.[2]

| In 2021, Anita is a 30-year-old woman living in São Paulo with her cat Amelie. Anita has to come back to Imperatriz - her hometown - for her sister Luiza's wedding with Douglas Dourado, Luiza's high school sweetheart and Anita is a bit resented because Luiza has the "perfect" life while hers is quite not what she planned. On the wedding party, she encounters her high school bullies and also Henrique, her estranged best friend. While on a bathroom break, she finds Eduardo - her cousin Carol's husband - kissing another party guest. Their confrontation make a big scene at the party, making Luiza publicly chastise Anita, who goes to her room crying. At the room, Anita decides to take a look at her old fotolog and thinks about doing things in a different way if she was young again. Her thoughts come true and Anita comes back to 2006, right on her first day of high school. A younger Luiza tries to get her ready for school in time and Anita realizes that their dad is still alive, although she just misses him while he goes away to work. At school, Anita meets Carol and Henrique and the three tries desperately to run away from the freshmen's hazing. Henrique and Anita hide into the school's library, where they meet César, a young emo boy who spends time at Orkut writing fiction stories and talking to his boyfriend Theo. Anita, Henrique, Carol and César are found by the seniors and go to the hazing ceremony, which Anita foils by humiliating them due to her knowledge of the future facts. Afterwards, César and Anita go to a pharmacy to pierce their ears and Anita takes a picture to celebrate their new found friendship. Back at home, Anita posts the picture into her fotolog and comes back to 2021. A woman enters her bedroom looking for her and after a brief conversation she realizes that the woman is César and that their ears are pierced in the very same way of the picture. | ||||||

| Anita is going back to São Paulo with her "César", although she's doesn't know what happened and struggles to discover her friend's new social name. Arriving in São Paulo, both women encounter Joel, one of the boys humiliated by Anita at the hazing and who is now their neighbour. Anita discovers that the woman's name is Camila and that she is her roommate in an apartment way nicer that Anita used to live. Camila also reveals that she's on the verge to get her first book published and that an old school crush, Leonardo, just sent an follow request on Instagram which she denies after revealing that he was her worst heartbreaker. Anita goes to her room and checks her fotolog, which gets her back to 2006 again. Luiza questions Anita about something she said at the hazing and Luiza subtly implies that Douglas wasn't her only boyfriend. Anita also tries to avoid Carol and Eduardo's relationship by enlisting Fabrício - the high school bad boy - to wreck their relationship. Fabrício accepts, as long Anita owns him a favor. César is talking about his relationship with Theo and Anita casually mentions Leonardo, which leaves César puzzled because he never mentioned Leonardo to the young Anita. Fabrício sets up a new date for Eduardo at the very same time and place where he was supposed to meet Carol. Fabrício, who is also César's brother taunts and confronts him about his friendship with Leonardo. Carol goes to her date only to find Eduardo kissing Fernanda, which leaves her so distraught that she ends up involved into a hit-and-run in front of Anita and Fabrício. | ||||||

| Carol is hospitalized with a broken arm and is deeply saddened to discover that she'll miss the handball championship game because of the accident. Anita asks Fabrício to keep his mouth shut about their involvement in Carol's accident. Joel reveals to Anita that Fabrício had a fling with Luiza before she started to date Douglas. Joel reveals to Fernanda that Eduardo was dating Carol and Fernanda realizes that Fabrício and Anita had set them up. Fernanda exposes their roles into Carol's accident to the whole school and later to the very own Carol. César confronts Henrique about his feelings for Anita and encourages him to say something to her. Henrique unsuccessfully confesses her love to Anita while her confesses that she and Fabrício arranged the scene which ended with Carol's accident. Anita also exposes César's crush to Leonardo, who gets distraught and ends his friendship with César, who in turn ends his friendship with Anita. Henrique visits Carol in the hospital and conforts her. Anita posts a picture into her fotolog, throwing her back to 2021. She then learns that Camila is no longer her roommate, that she is facing eviction from her apartment, that Joel is her hipster friend-with-benefits and that Carol and Henrique are married since 2016 with her as their maid of honor. | Anita finally reunites with her late father Antônio. She opens up about her issues and he advises her to not try to fix people's lives. Henrique tells Anita that Carol invited him to go to her church's music room and Anita tags along. Anita apologizes to Carol and Henrique reveals that he intends to be a musician. Anita also tries to make amends with César by helping him talk to Leonardo, who rebuffs them. Luiza also talks to Anita about her insecurities and the need to be the perfect girl and Anita encourages her to go after her interests. Joel starts to message Anita on MSN Messenger and tries to know her better. Luiza has a secret date with Fabrício which ends up with them having sex. Joel ends up talking about time traveling, scaring Anita. | ||||||

| Luiza and Anita are finishing the preparations for Luiza's 17th birthday party. Anita discovers that Fabrício is a very skilled woodcrafter and tells César that she doesn't know if Leonardo is coming to the party. Shortly after, Theo messages César and tells him that he'll meet him at the party. The party starts and Joel starts looking for Anita, who goes away only to find Henrique and Carol having a conversation. Fabrício also starts drinking while watching Luiza with taking picture with Douglas. Fernanda and Carol make amends while ignoring Eduardo's advances on both of them. Douglas gives Luiza a very expensive bracelet as a birthday gift and Anita notices that Fabrício is watching the whole scene and drags him to the dance floor. Henrique and Carol kiss but they feel that it wasn't that good and decide to remain friends. Fabrício gives a wooden dolphin to Luiza as a gift and tries to kiss her, only to be rebuffed. Leonardo arrives at the party and tries to talk with César. Eduardo goes on a homophobic rant which ends up with him punching César by accident. Fabrício intervenes by punching Eduardo and Leonardo runs away from the party. César goes after him and Leonardo reveals that he was Theo and that their love won't thrive in that city because of the conservative people. They kiss then part ways. Joel falls on the pool like Anita predicted but nobody but her notices because of the fireworks. Fabrício reveals to everyone that he and Luiza spent the night together which makes Douglas break up with her. Vânia scolds Luiza, who in turn unleashes all her frustation and anger back at Vânia. Luiza decides to run away from home. Anita also discovers that her father hid his cancer diagnosis from everyone. | ||||||

| Anita asks her father if he has something to tell her, which he doesn't. Anita then uploads the last pictures of her camera into the fotolog, throwing her back to 2021. She discovers that she's still in Imperatriz, but she's now a very famous photographer known worldwide. Carol is married to Douglas and is bound to go to the Olympic Games. Anita also discovers that Camila is a well known author and that she and Fabrício have now a healthy and loving sibling relationship. Anita's assistant Fabíola tells her that Anita has to go to Paris to do a photoshoot that very afternoon. Anita happily accepts her "perfect" future and meets with Henrique - now a well known musician - in Paris. They rekindle their feelings for each other and end up kissing each other. Meanwhile, Joel comes back to Imperatriz for a long awaited date with Anita only to be stood up by her and discover by himself that she's in Paris with Henrique. Anita calls Luiza only to know that she's estranged from the family for years and is living a very unhappy life in São Paulo, very much like Anita was at the beginning of the series. Joel tries to hack into Anita's fotolog at the very same time Anita decides to trip back to the past to amend Luiza's life. Joel successfully guesses Anita's password, locking her out from editing the fotolog and traveling himself back in time to 2006. | ||||||
