Akathaso
Akathaso (Burmese: အာကာသစိုး) are Burmese nats (spirits) who inhabit the tops of trees and serve as guardians of the sky. Akathaso is derived from Pali akasa deva (အာကာသဒေဝ), which literally means "deity of the sky."[1]

They are related to Yokkaso (ရုက္ခစိုး) and Bhummaso (ဘုမ္မစိုး), who respectively live on the trunks and roots of the trees. Bhummaso are guardian spirits of the earth while yokkaso are guardian spirits of trees.[1]
