2022 AFC Women's Club Championship

The concept of an Asian women's club competition was recommended in 2018.[3] This was held as a round-robin tournament in both tournaments, with only four teams taking part.[4]

The proposal for expanding the tournament towards being the female counterpart of the men's AFC Champions League envisaged that there would be more clubs participating in 2021. However, number was reduced back to four due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]

The current champions are Amman SC.

Format

A round-robin tournament between teams that are domestic AFC league champions is played.
