  • 1 January – The second stage of the reform of Israel's kosher certification system is scheduled to come into effect, allowing the establishment of private agencies to issue kosher certification, rather than only those supervised by the Chief Rabbinate; however, the private agencies will be required to uphold the religious standards established by the Chief Rabbinate.[1]
  • 17 March – The Jerusalem Marathon is scheduled to take place.[2]
