2022 Mid-Season Invitational
The 2022 Mid-Season Invitational is the upcoming seventh Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a Riot Games-organised tournament for League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena video game. The tournament is the culmination of the 2022 Spring Split, the first international competition of Season 12.

Each of the 11 premier League of Legends leagues has a team representing them. The competition would continue from the same format which was introduced during the previous year.[1]
The tournament will be hosted in South Korea from 10 to 29 May 2022. The Group Stage will be held in the Busan Esports Arena[2] while the Rumble Stage and Knockout Stage will be held in the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan.[1]
Format
Teams from 11 regions will compete in the Group Stage, the Rumble Stage, and the Knockout Stage.[3]
Group Stage
All teams will be drawn into three groups, with two of the groups having four teams and one group with three teams. All matches will be best-of-one double round robin.
Rumble Stage
The top two teams from each group will compete in the Rumble Stage. The matches will be best-of-one double round robin.
Knockout Stage
The top four teams will advance to the Knockout Stage. The matches will be best-of-one single elimination.
Qualified teams
The qualified team from LPL will compete remotely from China, either from the team training facility or from the LPL Arena in Shanghai.[4]
The LCL will not compete due to the LCL Spring being cancelled.[1][5]
