2022 Commonwealth Games marketing is a long running campaign that began when Birmingham won its bid to host the games in 2017.

Emblem

The official emblem was unveiled on July 27th, 2019 in Centenary Square by the Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games (BOCCG) as part of the Commonwealth Social Festival to commemorate Three Years To Go. The emblem is a jagged, triangular "B" shape formed by blue-yellow gradient lines representing the key connected venues of the Games throughout the West Midlands and bringing them together to form the "B." Longines, a Swiss watchmaker, has agreed to be the official partner and timekeeper for the next three editions of the Games, beginning in Birmingham in 2022. The news was made on Commonwealth Day, March 9, 2020, when the CGF, in collaboration with Longines and BOCCG, unveiled the Games countdown clock in Centenary Square.[3][4]

On 23 September 2020, the BOCCG unveiled the University of Birmingham as the second official partner of the Games. The university will provide venues and accommodation for the athletes during the event. The agreement also confirmed the university as the official partner of the international leg of the Games' Queen's Baton Relay.[5]

On 9 March 2022, E.ON was unveiled as the third partner of the Games. The deal reaffirms E.ON's status as an official partner of the Commonwealth Games' Business and Tourism Programme, which is the first of its type to be authorised. The programme, which is being delivered by a number of regional and national partners, including the West Midlands Growth Company, builds on the profile of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games to establish the West Midlands as a globally sought-after destination for visitors, investors, traders, and residents.[6]
