Šumice is a municipality and village in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,600 inhabitants. It lies on the Olšava River.

Šumice lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Uherské Hradiště, 23 km (14 mi) south of Zlín, and 266 km (165 mi) south-east of Prague.
