Zero Project

The Zero Project is an initiative of the Austrian Essl Foundation and organized jointly with the World Future Council.[1] and the European Foundation Centre,[2] focusing on the rights of people with disabilities globally.[3]

Activities

With the website, reports and conferences, the Zero Project disseminates and promotes its research.

  • The annual Zero Project Report[4] presents the practices and policies that have been selected as the most innovative in their approach to that year’s theme from the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.
  • Those behind the innovative policies and practices present their solutions to their peers involved in the world of disabilities, including stakeholders, government ministers and other key influencers at an annual conference.[5][6]

Awards

The Zero Project has been awarded with the Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments Award of Recognition in 2015[7][8]
