Willis E. Bell
Willis Eugene Bell (1924–1999) was an American-Ghanaian photographer and farmer. He was born
in 1924 in Burma America and died on at his farm at Baafikrom, near Mankessim, Ghana, on September 30, 1999.[1][2]
Early Life and Education
Bell attended Woodstock School in the Indian Himalaya where he developed an early interest in photography. He graduated from Yale University and eventually settling in Ghana in the late 1950’s, where he set the standard for photography in portraiture, essays and advertising. His interests included architecture and nature.[1]
