Vivaldi Technologies
Vivaldi Technologies AS is a software development company, most known for its creation of the Vivaldi browser. It was founded in 2014 by Jón von Tetzchner and Tatsuki Tomita. Tetzchner was one of the founders,[1] and formerly the CEO, of Opera Software, a software company which developed the web browser Opera.[2] About 20 former Opera employees joined him at Vivaldi Technologies.[2] In January 2017, the company had 35 employees.[3] As of September 2021, the company has listed 54 employees.[4]

Vivaldi Browser
Vivaldi Technologies released the Vivaldi browser as a Tech Preview on January 27, 2015. The Vivaldi browser is aimed at empowering users who want to do more with their browser rather than using extensions.[5][6]
On October 28, 2015, the Vivaldi Browser YouTube channel posted two videos: "Choices" and "Why Are We Making a Browser?", the latter of which was allegedly filmed inside the Innovation House in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[6] On April 6, 2016, Vivaldi Technologies released Vivaldi 1.0, the first stable release of its browser.[7]
Workspaces
The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, has the Innovation House in Reykjavík, Iceland,[8] and a workspace in the Innovation House in Gloucester, Massachusetts, US.[9] They also have developers in Helsinki, Finland; Saint Petersburg, Russia; Prague, Czech Republic, and other locations.[10]

Vivaldi.net is a community-based platform which includes social networking elements, forum, developers blog and the out Iceland based email service Vivaldi Mail.[2][1]
