The company provides test prep for standardized tests, as well as consulting for studying abroad.[6] It offered help to kids who couldn't go to school during the COVID-19 Pandemic and taught them about mathematics, Chinese, English, coding and many more subjects. After the Chinese government's ban on profits in the private tutoring sector, the company's stock went down significantly, with a project 70% decrease in 2022 revenue.[7]Later, because of the tutor website "Xi Wang Xue", which stands for "Hope Study" have many similarities including logo design and user interface, and the source code of Xi Wang Xue contains "xueersi", some people think Xi Wang Xue have a relationship with Xueersi.[8][9][10]

In 2018 it acquired CodeMonkey.[11][12]
