Sunit Khatau

Sunit Khatau was an Indian billionaire industrialist and chairman and managing director of the Khatau Fabrics Group. He was shot dead in Mumbai by Indian Gangsters on 7 May 1994 over dispute about sale of land of the mill.[1][2][3][4][5] He was a member of the Khatau Family and was a prominent Indian industrialist. Khatau group is one of the largest and oldest business houses in the country.

He was also the largest horse owner in the country and his horses have won many races, including the 1981 Indian Derby, the Invitation Cup, the Bangalore Derby and the Calcutta Derby.
