Strong, Secure and Engaged
Strong, Secure and Engaged is the title of Canada's 2017 defence policy white paper, which was produced under the ministry of Harjit Sajjan. One focus of the whitepaper is Canada's contribution to NATO's deterrence and defence missions.[1] The whitepaper projected over a 20-year horizon to meet more than 200 Canadian Armed Forces objectives.[2] The 113-page paper was released on 7 June.[3]
Synopsis
The white paper dealt with RCAF procurement issues.[2]
While she was Minister of Public Services, Carla Qualtrough wrote that the policy features a significant increase in defence spending, and had an ambitious plan to spend more on equipment and infrastructure purchases.[4]
