Soumendu Lahiri

Soumendu Lahiri[1] born at Berhampore of Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal is a Bengali Poet[2] and Guitarist.[3] He got recognition from the Hon'ble governor of West Bengal on 17 May 2019 on his Silver Jublee Celebration of poetic and musical Journey.[4] He was the first inaugurator of the first Aurangabad Book Fair – 2021 of Murshidabad district.[5][6]

Works

His most known work is related to poetry and music. His first book of poems "Sanam" was published in 1999. He established "Sur Piyasi Music Academy"[7] at Berhampore in the Murshidabad district on 6 August 1994, a guitar and recitation training institute where poor peoples also get the opportunity to be admitted themselves without admission fees.

His literary works have been published in Ganakantha , Murshidabad Barta , Aponzone,[8][9][10] Anuvutir Kothay,[11] Puspa Pravat Patrika , Sahajata , Ananda Bangla,[12] Swapner Vela Sahittyo Patrika etc.[13] Many recitors have recited his poems from India and Bangladesh.[14][15]

He is the inaugurator of the first Aurangabad Book Fair-2021 Murshidabad ,West Bengal .[16]
