Soap on a Rope

Soap on a Rope is an invention that consists of a bar of toilet soap that is molded around a small loop of rope.[1][2][3]

The user is meant to place the rope loop over their head or around their wrist to prevent the soap bar from falling to the floor,[2] presumably in reference to not "dropping the soap"[4] in prison (see Prison rape).

In the 2001 film Freddy Got Fingered, Gord Brody finds a Soap on a Rope thinking it is a "treasure" in his father's SCUBA gear.

In Half Life: C.A.G.E.D., a satirical mod for the classic PC game Half Life taking place in a dystopian prison, several references to Soap-on-a-rope are made.
