Sivanmalai
Sivanmalai is a revenue village in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu.[5] The village is known for its Subramania Swamy Temple, a hilltop Murugan temple. It is one of the Murugan temples of Tamil Nadu patrionised by Arunagirinathar's Thiruppugazh.[6]

The village is located 5 km away from Kangeyam in Tiruppur-Kangeyam road. It is located 24 km away from its district headquarters Tiruppur.[7]
Ethymology
The town was named after Sivavakkiyar Siddhar, author of Sivavakkiyam, who stayed on this hill and built a temple to worship his favorite deity, Lord Murugan.[8]
Administration and politics
Sivanmalai comes under the Kangeyam taluk and Tiruppur district.[9] It also falls under Kangeyam assembly constituency and Erode (Lok Sabha constituency).[10]
