Shyam Pathak
Shyam Pathak (born 12 June 1976) is an Indian actor and comedian. He is known for portraying Popatlal Pandey in the popular Hindi television sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He also did an episodic role (episode 186 as Raddiwala) in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.

Personal life
Pathak married Reshami who was his classmate at the National School of Drama. They have a daughter and two sons.[1]
Pathak started his studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, but dropped out to join the National School of Drama.[1]
Career
He has been part of the comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which airs on the SAB TV channel. He plays the role of Patrakar Popatlal or Popu, an aging bachelor who works as a crime reporter for a newspaper called "Toofan Express".[2] His constant efforts to find a bride for himself results in funny situations on the show.[3]
