Shūichirō Moriyama

Shūichirō Moriyama (森山 周一郎, Moriyama Shūichirō, 26 July 1934 – 8 February 2021) was a Japanese actor and voice actor. His real name was Hiroo Ōtsuka (大塚 博夫, Ōtsuka Hiroo).[1] He was the official Japanese dub-over artist of actors Jean Gabin, Spencer Tracy, Telly Savalas (he has met with Savalas several times) and Lino Ventura.

Overview

On 23 July 1999, he was paralysed from his right half by a cerebral infarction, but his body did not fully recover due to the lack of early treatment. Even so, numbness in the limbs is not easy to improve, and because of the transient cerebral ischemic attacks that cause the body to move involuntarily, from the time of hospitalization to after discharge, continuous rehabilitation. He died of pneumonia at 9:10 p.m. on February 8, 2021 at a hospital in Saitama Prefecture at the age 86.
