History
A narrative that has completed two decades in the Indian couture ambit and has transcended pre-conceived notions of Indian Couture, Shantnu & Nikhil as a brand can be best described as contemporary disruptor with an India proud sentiment.
Driven by ‘Anti-trend’- an emotion that is deep-seated within the brand, Shantnu & Nikhil couture challenges the age-old perceptions of luxury to create a renewed outlook of ‘neo-luxury’ where the spirit of celebratory India meets a bevy of timeless silhouettes, supreme handcraftsmanship and contemporary oomph. The brand stands for distinctiveness and encapsulates the splendour and decadence of vintage India while blending it with the excitement and ease of modern India.
Their journey has lent strong iconic signatures to the brand repertoire. Being the signature drape creators for men in India, they have added a sense of liberation to structured Indian ceremonial wear with iconic silhouettes like the Draped Kurta and Draped Bandhgala. Similarly, Shantnu & Nikhil have created a sense of fierce romanticism for women; where structure and dramatic shapes meet dainty, easy-flowing drapes in staple silhouettes like the Cocktail Gown and Neo Cocktail Lehenga. They have transitioned from couturiers to robust storytellers where every piece from Maison Shantnu & Nikhil is a celebratory story in itself!
