Shannon Walsh

Shannon Walsh is a Canadian filmmaker, writer and scholar.[1][2] She has directed the feature documentaries The Gig is Up,[3] H2Oil ,[4]À St-Henri, le 26 août,[5] Jeppe on a Friday [6] and Illusions of Control.[7][8][9]

Walsh, who was born in London, Ontario, is also an academic, and teaches film production at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Theatre and Film.[10][11] She is the editor, along with Jon Soske, of Ties that Bind: Race and the Politics of Friendship in South Africa.[12][13] She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2020.[14]
