Sanctum (temple)
Sanctum is a sacred place, in a shrine within a temple or church. It also refers to a sacred place of pilgrimage.
The Latin word sanctum is the neuter form of the adjective "holy".
By extension "sanctum" or "inner sanctum" may also refer to a private office, study or other work room where the occupant may enjoy privacy.
