Sam Morril
Sam Morril (born September 29, 1986) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer from New York City.

Early life and education
Morril was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and raised in New York City by mother Marilyn Greenberg, a painter and daughter of George Greenberg, the former CEO of Loehmann's clothing store chain,[1] and stepfather Mark Charles Morril, a publishing industry attorney. His mother and step-father married in 1993, when Sam was 7, after which he took the surname Morril.[1] He has two step-siblings.[2] His parents are both Ashkenazi Jewish.
His biological father is surnamed Elgort; through him, he is a cousin of actor and singer Ansel Elgort, who is the son of Morril's biological paternal uncle Arthur Elgort.[1]
Morril attended the Browning School on Manhattan's Upper East Side.[1][3][4][5]
Career
A former intern on The Colbert Report, Morril appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday, April 22, 2016.[6] Since 2014, Morril has made multiple appearances on Conan on TBS. In 2016, Morril was a stand-up comedian act from Season 11 of America's Got Talent but was eliminated in the Judge Cuts. He was formerly the host of People Talking Sports on MSG Network. He has a guest appearance as himself in Todd Phillips' film Joker. His first one-hour special Positive Influence was released on Comedy Central in September 2018.[7] His second one-hour special I Got This was released on the Comedy Central Stand-Up YouTube page in February 2020.[8]
Morril is a regular on Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar, where he appears frequently when not touring cities across the nation. He was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch in 2011 and has worked across various forms of media with comedians including Dave Attell, Marc Maron, Amy Schumer, Comedy Artwork, and Conan O’Brien.[9]
Personal life
Since March 2020, Morril has been in a relationship with comedian Taylor Tomlinson.[10][11]
