Rumeysa Gelgi

Rumeysa Gelgi (born January 1st, 1997) is a Turkish advocate, researcher and front-end developer who holds the title of tallest living woman in the world from Guinness World Records since October 2021. She previously held the title of tallest living female teenager in the world. She is 7 feet 0.7 inches (215.1 cm) tall.[1][2][3][4][5]

Gelgi lives in the Karabük province of Turkey.[6] Her height is caused by Weaver syndrome, a rare condition which causes rapid growth among other abnormalities.[7] It affects men three times more than women.[8] Because of her condition, she usually uses a wheelchair to move, but can walk for short periods of time.[1][2]

Gelgi says that she wishes to use her title to raise awareness of diseases and conditions such as hers.[1][9]
