Rudaki Institute of Language and Literature

The Institute of Language and Literature named after A. Rudaki (Russian: Институт языка и литературы имени А. Рудаки, Tajik: Институти забон ва адабиёт ба номи А. Рӯдакии, Persian: انستیتوت زبان و ادبیات رودکی) is the regulatory body for the Tajik variety of Persian language, headquartered in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.[2] It is one of the oldest research institutes in the Tajik Academy of Sciences and it acts as the official authority on the language, and contributes to linguistic research on Tajik and other languages of Tajikistan.[3][4]

It was founded during the USSR era on March 17, 1932. In the 1100th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Persian-Tajik literature in 1958, the institute was named as Abuabdullo Rudaki Institute of Language and Literature.[1]
