Randy Roach

Randall Edmund Roach is an American politician.[2] He served as a Democratic member for the 36th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3] Roach also served as the mayor of Lake Charles, Louisiana from 2000 to 2017.[4][5][6]

Roach attended at the LaGrange High School, later graduating in 1969.[1] He then attended at the Louisiana State University, where he earned undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor degrees.[1] In 1988, Roach won the election for the 36th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3] He succeeded Conway LeBleu.[3] In 1996, Roach was succeeded by Dan Flavin for the 36th district.[3]

In 2000, Roach won the election of becoming a temporary mayor of Lake Charles, Louisiana.[1] He succeeded Rodney Geyem.[1] In 2001, Roach fully became the mayor of Lake Charles, Louisiana, in which he had served for Geyem's leftover term.[1] In 2017, he was succeeded by Nicholas E. Hunter.[4][7] On July 30, 2017, it was specialized as "Randy Roach Day" by the people from Lake Charles, Louisiana.[8]
